If you've ever been in Lake George during the last week of May, you already know: Americade isn't just an event, it's a takeover. Tens of thousands of riders descend on the Village for the world's largest touring motorcycle rally, and the energy is electric — chrome glinting in the sun, engines echoing off the lake, every parking lot turned into a rolling expo.
Americade 2026 runs May 27–30, headquartered at Fort William Henry (48 Canada Street), with vendors spreading into Wood Park and the Beach Road parking lot.
What's New for 2026
This year brings a charity poker run, a women's ride, expanded riding clinics in the Adirondacks, and waterfront concerts paired with motorcycle stunt shows. The Opening Celebration — sponsored by Michelin, Spectro, Yuasa, and CICADA Audio — is the night to be downtown. Comedian Alonzo Bodden (winner of NBC's Last Comic Standing) headlines a return engagement during the week.
Demo Rides: The Real Draw
If you've never demo'd a bike, Americade is the moment. Manufacturers bring their newest models to ride right out of the Village, through some of the most stunning roads in the Northeast. Pro tip: wristband holders get first dibs, with access to the demo area hours before walk-ups.
Not a Rider? Come Anyway
Even if you've never thrown a leg over a bike, Americade week is one of the most fun times to visit Lake George. Restaurants and bars are buzzing, the people-watching is unbeatable, and the bike parade through the Village on Saturday is something you have to see at least once. Just plan accordingly:
Parking is tight — way tighter than a normal weekend. Walk in from your hotel whenever possible.
Reservations are essential for dinner. Lake George's restaurants run a tight ship during Americade, but they're full.
Traffic on Route 9 gets thick. If you're commuting in, give yourself an extra 30 minutes.
The lake itself stays peaceful. Steamboat cruises are a great escape from the Village hum.
Where to Stay & Eat
Lake George hotels book out a year in advance for Americade. If you're scrambling, look at Glens Falls, Queensbury, or even Saratoga for openings. For food, you can't go wrong with classic Village stops — but if you want a quieter dinner, head north to Bolton Landing or down to Glens Falls for the night.
Americade has been part of Lake George's identity since 1983. It's loud, it's busy, it's wonderful — a perfect, fully-summer kickoff to the season.
